About IELTSThe International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is one of the world's most popular high-stakes English language tests. It is the test that opens doors to a world of academic and professional opportunities around the world where English is the language in the workplace or the classroom. It is a test that demonstrates your English language abilities to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to gain a Canadian visa. Universities and colleges in Canada accept IELTS, as well as most professional associations, that have a set minimum English language requirement. IELTS is recognized by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for application to its immigration programs. In addition, IELTS is widely accepted by both universities and colleges in Canada, as well as professional associations which have set minimum language requirements. IELTS is accepted worldwide by over 10,000 organizations including many in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America. It is recognized by schools, universities, employers, immigration, and professional bodies. There are two IELTS test types. The IELTS Academic and the IETLS General Training.
