Winter & Fall After-School STEM Classes
Dungeons and DragonsPlayers create their own character and join your allies to help the town of Phandalin and protect its people from the monsters lurking in the mountains! Players will engage in team building, problem solving, planning, and communication, all while engaging with a rich detailed fantastical environment. We will be using a combination of physical and digital materials to maximize immersion and excitement. Lego RoboticsChildren learn engineering, mathematics and robotics principles. They are given the opportuntity to develop critical thinking and problem solving skills. Working in small teams, everyone designs and a builds a robot to solve challenges to overcome obstacles. Game Design with RobloxStudents advance their knowledge of Roblox and take programming to the next level by creating games with more complex systems like a battle royale or RPG. They learn about sound, lighting, special effects and how to implement them in the game. Other things they are taught include optimization, making their game run better, testing procedures, and general best practices. They also cover monetization, how to make money off of their game. |
